Today our colleagues begin a bicycle journey to reach the Palace of Europe, where Medel will celebrate its 40th anniversary.
A journey that aims at drawing attention to the ordeal of Murat Arslan, unjustly detained since 2016, and to the condition of the thousands of individuals – magistrates, lawyers, journalists and many others – who as Murat are victims of the authoritarian drift occurring in Turkey. We will collect the messages of solidarity for Murat and for all those who paid an extremely high price for acting as free women and men, and for defending the values of democracy and rule of law.
