In the face of war, profound rule of law crisis and the collapse of the human rights protection system in Israel, the role of Israeli lawyers and civil society is now more important than ever.
That is why an open and honest debate on the current situation in Israel, as well as the exchange of experiences with judges from other countries, is so crucial.
The Israel Bar Association, DemoCrisis initiative and The Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics organised at the Faculty of Law of the Tel Aviv University a conference entitled “The Erosion of Democracy and Its Consequences for the Legal System”.
