MEDEL, together with its Spanish members Unión Progresista de Fiscales and Juezas y Jueces para la Democracia, will organise on December 2nd, in Barcelona, the international conference “Protection of Migrants and Refugees and Political Asylum”.
The current rules and the need to reform the European framework of migration and asylum will be discussed with Prof. Ana Rita Gil (University of Lisbon) and Prof. Chiara Favilli (University of Firenze), experts in migration and humanitarian law, and we will hear first-hand experiences from judges who had to escape and seek asylum due to persecution.
