The increasingly important issues related to the appointment of judges and their implications for the effectiveness of the rule of law in Europe will be discussed on April 14 in a conference jointly organised by Medel, the Polish Judges Association Iustitia, University of Warsaw and Interdisciplinary Centre for Research on Judicature.
The conference builds around the concept of “tribunal established by law”, gathering judges, academics and representatives of judicial councils and associations of judges and prosecutors from several European countries.
