Mariarosaria Guglielmi, President of Medel, took part in the international workshop entitled “From Temporary Protection to Effective Protection”, organised by the European Lawyers’ Union – Human Rights Commission of the on 21 September in Rome at Europa Experience – David Sassoli, in collaboration with the Representation of European Commission and the European Parliament Liaison Office in Italy.
The meeting brought together institutions and human rights experts to discuss temporary protection and effective legal safeguards for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. Mariarosaria Guglielmi spoke on the protection of vulnerable individuals and the current risks to the European multilevel system of fundamental rights protection and international justice.
