Mariarosaria Guglielmi is representing today MEDEL at the first exchange of views with Civil Society held by the Secretary General of CoE, Marija Pejčinović Burić, on the occasion of the International Day of Democracy.
The Reykjavík Declaration, adopted by the Heads of State and Government of the CoE at the 4th summit on 17 May 2023, reconfirmed the need to step up the Council of Europe’s engagement with civil society.
The exchange of views with Civil Society is part of the Secretary General’s proposals for the implementation of the decisions adopted at the ministerial session in Helsinki in May 2019.
